Car #7 Mr. Ray's 1949 Ford Convertible

Mr. Ray's 49 Ford Convertible came to us from another shop which after they said they completed the chassis couldn't do anything with the body once it came back from the blaster because it was to bad. After starting with a body that was two half and the bottom 6 inches completely gone due to rust, all rusted areas have been repaired. Once we got the chassis from the other shop, their was several issues with it, the main one being the main structure being cut out in the center and some tubbing added for support, the only problem their is you couldn't put a drive shaft in the car due to these parts. So the decision was added to completely rebuild him a chassis that would make the car ride better for the long road trips that has been planned for this car, a Custom Sub Frame with tubular suspension was added as well as a 9 inch ford with 4 link and coil overs added to the rear. The Drivetrain that the car is going to run is a 4.6 L V8 from a Mustang Gt with an Automatic transmission. Certainly a car that is going to be driven and enjoyed now once finished.
